UTICA, NY - On Point for College and Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) co-hosted the "We've Got Your Back" Conference on Friday, July 15, 2016 at MVCC. The conference provided a platform for over one hundred higher education professionals from across New York State and beyond to address the challenges facing many of today's most vulnerable college students. The conference was supported by a grant from the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation.
Featured presenters included Dr. Randall VanWagoner, President, MVCC, Ginny Donohue, Founder and Executive Director, On Point for College, Cyekeia Lee, Director of Higher Education Initiatives, National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth, Dr. Lorrie Clemo, Provost, Oswego State University of New York, Dr. Laura Gonzalez-Murphy, Director, New York State Office of New Americans, and Alan Rosenthal, Esq., Co-Director of Justice Strategies, Center for Community Alternatives.
